Sunset & the Conjunction at Kakaako Waterfront Park - December 21, 2020

I decided to check out the sunset and view the Conjunction at KakaakoWaterfront Park. The weather was cool and not much cloud cover. The surfers were out in numbers with a few sailboats in the water.

Even in the sunlight, the moon seems to be waiting for the big event.

As the sun is slowly setting, the sky is starting to light up to a golden color.

I thought I might have an opportunity to witness the Green Flash.

Holy Molly darn clouds on the horizon are in front of the sun, thus no green flash today!!!

Look up in the sky. Shortly after the sunset, these two became visible.

That is Jupiter on the left with three visible moons and Saturn on the right.

Again, Jupiter on the left with one of it's moon and Saturn with it's rings on the right.

I was happy to have gotten this shot of Jupiter and Saturn.

The brightness of the sun on the moon, washed out most of the Craters.

One last shot of Jupiter and Saturn.

I was happy to have gotten to Kakaako Waterfront Park early enough to find a good parking stall. The Park was not crowded, with most people wearing masks. I'll be waiting to see the next conjunction on November 4, 2040.
