Sakura in Wahiawa and Wahiawa Botanical Garden - December 12, 2020

Today we decided to cruise around Wahiawa to look for the elusive sakura blossoms. We drove up California Avenue and saw many  bare sakura trees along the roadside. As we neared the end of California Avenue, we spotted these sakura trees with blossoms.

The following Sakura blossoms are from the Wahiawa Hongwanji Mission grounds

On the Mission grounds we saw The Bonsho (Bell) and Soro (Tower)

I found an angel with wings!!!

Since I've never been to The Wahiawa Botanical Garden we went there.

Shroom!!!

Don't you think this plant has an interesting hexagon pattern?

Look at the leaf on the left. Doesn't it look like the  "Phantom's mask"?

This botanical garden is truly a rain forest; I'm so glad I got to see this place.

It was fun being in Wahiawa, I'm glad we took the time to look for the sakura blossoms. While the trees weren't full of blossoms, I was thrilled to have photographed what I did see.
