I planed to photograph some decent size waves at Sandy Beach after my hike and whale watching at Makapu`u Lighthouse Trail. The waves were not as large as I had hoped but the following shots are what I photographed.
I realized photographing a wave head on is not as dramatic as a photo taken from the side view, where you'd be able to see the barrel of the wave. But to photograph the barrel of a wave, I would have to be in the water with an underwater housing for my camera, something I'm not even contemplating.
