I was planning a solo shoot but brought along a friend. We went to Lanikai Beach in Kailua to photograph the rising of the Blue Moon. The Blue Moon of October 31, 2020 is the first full moon on Halloween in 76 years. According to information from NASA Earth and the Old Farmer's Almanac, the last time a full moon fell on Halloween was in 1944.
If you missed photographing the moon rising tonight the next time the full moon will shine on Halloween again will be in the years 2039, 2058, 2077 and 2096.
We did experience some cloud cover on my first attempt to take night photos.
