Today, thanks to Walter making our reservations, we met at the Hawaiian Railway and rode the Hawaiian Railway train from Ewa to Kahe Point. It was a fun and interesting 3 hour round trip ride.
While on the tracks we stopped traffic several times to cross over the roadway, we saw several dolphins in the ocean, we made a rest stop to get rolled ice cream and we were greeted with shaka signs by people living next to the railway. I give this adventure a FIVE STAR rating!!!
This is how the cars from the train are coupled together.
The individual below was caught loitering and can you tell she did not agree with the sign above?
These photos inside the toy museum doesn't do it any justice.
Can't get lost here with these signs.
ALL ABOARD!!!
The gates are down to stop the traffic.
I'm so happy to be able to get this shot of the dolphins because the train was moving and the dolphins were far away. Most of us were not able to capture a photo of them.
Caught these horses from the corner of my eyes and luckily got the shot while the train was in motion.
This doggie thinks he is hiding.
I'm glad I got here early and was able to get these caterpillar pictures.
Found these critters on the crown flower plant.Boy this guy can eat.
I did not know bees retract their legs when flying.
A Monarch Butterfly.
What a satisfying day. I enjoyed every part of it especially with the company that I was with. I highly recommend everyone to experience this train ride. It is a local business that gets NO GOVERNMENT OR PRIVATE FUNDING. The Hawaiian Railway is dependent on the public's patronage to operate the railroad.
