The Honolulu Aquarium 05-24-2025

The EQ & RS combined activity was held on May 24, 2025, at The Waikiki Aquarium, located at 2777 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii. It was a most gorgeous day for an outdoor activity. We met at the entrance of the aquarium at 9:00 am and did a self-guided tour of the facility. We were 16 members strong in attendance, which included a potluck luncheon across the street of the aquarium, to Kapiolani Park. Most of us had not visited the aquarium in years and were happy to finally return for another visit.

The Waikiki Aquarium was founded in 1904 and has been an institution of the University of Hawaii at Manoa since 1919. The Aquarium is the second oldest still operating public aquarium in the United States, after the New York Aquarium.
