Koko Crater Botanical Garden - April 16,2021

Today I took my friend Daniel, who is like me retired, to this botanical garden. It was an impromptu visit after a slow morning at the Hamakua Wildlife Sanctuary.

As you can see the trees are not in full bloom yet.

Pretty in pink.

The devil in disguise.

The following photos are of the ten petal plumeria flower. It's called Plumeria rubra 'Bali Whirl'. It was  discovered in Indonesia.

Believe it or not, this is a variety of a gardenia shrub. The following photos are its flowers.

Unfortunately the flowers do not have any scent at all.

The white and yellow flowers comes from the same shrub.

It was a dry and hot sunny day at the botanical garden. Not many visitors and the plumeria trees were not in full bloom yet.
