Harold L. Lyon Arboretum - October 20, 2020

Celia, my daughter Jill, Granddaughter Zaylee and I decided on a field trip to Harold L. Lyon Arboretum located in Manoa Valley. I had to make reservations for the scheduled time of two hours with a limit of four individuals in a vehicle.

Here we are waiting for the gate to open.
Although I've lived in Manoa Valley in the past for several years, this was my first visit to the arboretum. Luckily Celia came as my tour guide.
We were greeted with these colorful bromeliads
Shell ginger
A variety of Torch Ginger with one white flower.
A Yellow Ginger
Water droplets on a spider web.

Looks like Godzilla's skin.
Did you know an arboretum is a botanical garden specializing in trees? It is an outdoor living tree museum.
These pretty little flowers were in full bloom.
My one bee shot.
Inspiration Point. A good location to just hang out and to appreciate life and Mother Nature.
"LUCKY WE LIVE HAWAII"
At last a cold beverage at Starbucks to end the day, because it was so humid at the arboretum. Thank goodness it did not rain. It was fun and we had a blast!!!
